Come sea kayaking in Wales

Sea kayaking in Wales

Have you ever been sea kayaking? It’s the best way to explore the Pembrokeshire coast as well as parts of Cardigan Bay and around the Isle of Anglesey… certainly when the waters are quite calm! There’s nothing better than paddling adjacent to the cliffs, checking out caves and secluded bays along the way.

Be sure to check out the Stackpole Sea Kayak Festival taking place May 29th through 31st, next year. The event is organized by the National Trust, who will have experts from Sea Kayak Guides on hand with equipment for the event. The cost to take part is £140 which includes full residential catering at the Stackpole Centre, or £20 for a day ticket, although advance booking is essential for either option.

There will be a choice of island and coastal journeys during the days. Weather-permitting, you'll be able to head over to Caldy and Skomer islands, with local guides introducing colonies of puffins, razorbills, gray seals and even dolphins. In the evenings, there will be talks by guest speakers, music, and a barbecue and bar - - all taking place just a 20-minute walk from one of Wales’ most beautiful beaches: Barafundle Beach.
