New ferry services to Wales

Two very exciting developments last week, two ferry services announce new services from Ilfracombe and Cork to Swansea, South Wales.

Swansea Must Do Beach  Last week, ferry operator Severn Link announced plans to launch a passenger ferry between Swansea, South Wales and Ilfacombe, South West England.  The service will commence early next year.  The journey will take fifty minutes, four times shorter than by car.

The ferry service will open up the two regions for visitors, improving the transport connections from Devon, Somerset and Cornwall to Wales. Severn link ferry

The second development is from Fastnet Line who announced that they will re-launch the Swansea to Cork car ferry service on March 1st 2010.  The ferry will sail three days a week and will have additional daytime sailings during peak times.

Taking a ferry is definitely my way of traveling, stress-free and easy and it’s environmentally friendly!
