Where's the best Sunday Roast in Wales?
We have a guest blog post today from Laura who has been working with the TravelWales.org team for a short while...
After answering a plea for help from my overworked colleagues at the Visit Wales office in New York, it's time for me to head back to Wales. But first they have roped me into writing this blog.
As much as I have enjoyed my time here - - what girl would complain about being able to stroll down Fifth Avenue on her lunch break to see all the sights that New York brings? - - sometimes there is just no place like home!
There is nowhere in this city where you can get a good Sunday Roast – America doesn’t know what they are missing. I can’t wait to get back to Mimosa Kitchen (www.mimosakitchen.co.uk/foodsunday.php), or maybe some of you have tried Bayside Brasserie (www.baysidebrasserie.com/sunday-lunch.htm), both located in Cardiff Bay, and a couple of my favourites.
The team in the office have their favourites too in Wales: well Alex’s favourite (aside from her Mum’s cooking) is The Griffin Inn at Llyswen in Mid Wales (www.griffininnllyswen.co.uk/restaurant.html) and Paul’s is the Groes Inn near Conwy (www.groesinn.com/1714/Dining.html).
Why don’t you let us know your best places for Sunday Lunch in Wales? - - chip in on our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/visitwales.
As New York gets gripped in the World Series fever (that's baseball!), I'll stick to supporting rugby... "come on Wales bring on those All Blacks!" And I am really looking forward to seeing the sign when I know I’ll be home.
