Three-night mid-week Brolly Break at Lake Vyrnwy hotel
Yay, Lake Vyrnwy’s ‘Brolly Break’ deal is back! I’m not allowed to have favorite hotels in Wales but, if I did, Lake Vyrnwy would probably be one of them because of the fabulous setting and views. It’s an intimate and secluded country house hotel on the eastern border of Wales where the views are stunning on sunny days and equally enthralling when mists roll across the lake and you’re sitting in the hotel beside their roaring log fires.
So Lake Vyrnwy is offering their famous “Brolly Autumn and Winter Break” for stays between September 27th, 2009 and March 25th, 2010 (excluding Christmas, New Year, Public Holidays and Valentines). The package can be booked on stays from Sundays through Thursdays.
For a three-night stay, a ‘garden view’ room costs £405 (around $667) for two people sharing. A ‘lake view’ room costs £455. And here’s what that package includes:
- Three nights’ bed and breakfast;
- Five-course dinner on the first two nights;
- Cream tea on the first two afternoons;
- A limited edition Lake Vyrnwy umbrella (because it may rain a little bit!). And, as the weather is generally great for ducks, we have some for you to enjoy - in your bath - and to take home with you! If it doesn't rain or snow, then we'll give you a bottle of champagne to take home instead!

Lake Vyrnwy is a four-star hotel which overlooks a mountain-ringed lake. It boasts a great spa and swimming pool, and even the Tepidarium Couches have views out over the lake.
